I am Eva Berki, co-founder and leader of Anjali Dance, a Hungary-based group, dedicated to Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam).
My interest in India began with dance: at the age of fifteen I started to study Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam), and then I had the opportunity to spend a year studying in India. I soon realised that for me, no other art form offers such a fulfilling experience as Indian dance, because Bharatanatyam is not only a dance style, but also a tradition, sacrality and philosophy that goes back thousands of years.
